CRT projectors typically deliver over ten times more contrast ratio compared to the best non-CRT front projectirs currently available. Contrast Ratio measurements for CRT technology can be over 30.000:1 or even go beyond the maximum range of measurement equipment

True-to-life Colors

Electronic correction circuits continuously monitor the red, green and blue projection CRT's and automatically compensate for any color deviation, ensuring excellent long-term stability. Perfect color tracking over the entire gray scale range, from true black to peak white, results in absolutely pure color reproduction.
Some models offer additional optical color correction coatings on the lenses guaranteeing color primaries fully matching the CIE/EBU broadcast standards.

Highest Resolution

Through a combination of professional grade CRT's, high resolution lenses and extremely fast electronics such as designed for the most demanding industrial applications, Barco's Cine projectors offer on-screen resolutions up to 1600 x 1200 pixels, in the projection world only matched by 35mm film. The result is a smooth image reproduction with excellent picture detail, completely free of any "jaggies" or other pixelization effects.

Digital Technology

All new Cine CRT models are equipped with BARCO's LimoPro video processing board for de-interlacing of interlaced video and film images (3:2 pull down for NTSC and 2:2 pull down for PAL/SECAM), line multiplying (tripling or quadrupling) and frame doubling. This makes that the complete range consists out of CRT projectors that only need a video source for offering a complete and top-level video solution.

Extreme ease-of-use

Convenient, well organized on-screen menus simplify all adjustments of the projector, even for first-time users. All display settings (brightness, contrast, color, tint, and sharpness) as well as all geometry and convergence settings are stored for each source. The projector automatically selects the settings for the source in use. All projector alignment and fine-tuning parameters can be locked through the use of a password.

Automatic Convergence

Iris3 makes it easy Barco's unique and patented IRIS3 built-in convergence system automatically aligns both the geometry and convergence for any connected source at the push of a button. The combination of DSP algorithms, advanced interpolation methods and a built-in CCD camera guarantees the best possible projection within minutes at any time.

Input Compatibility

Barco CINE projectors are compatible with sources such as DVD, HD, laser disc, analogue and digital video tape recorders, video games, digital photocameras, and demodulated satellite and antenna signals as well as computers.
